Table napkins and placemats AYA in dark grey mercerized combed cotton, lined with handmade Grigio trimmed little balls, inspired by buttons of the traditional Moroccan djellabah. The trimming goes all around the table napkin and on two sides of the placemat.
“This trimming, like Lamu, Ilias and Tulum, is one of my first interpretations of traditional Moroccan thread work. Upon my arrival in Marrakech in 1996, I was fascinated by these artisans who manipulate thread and needle with such dexterity. These handmade little balls are used as buttons on the djellabas. The idea of transposing them to my linens quickly imposed itself on me. »
