AYA bed linen with multicolor casapiedra trimmings
AYA bed linen with trimmings embroidery is inspired by the traditional djelleba button. It is a fine and delicate needle work that requires a lot of dexterity. The trimmings are handmade by women who work from home. Once these artisans deliver their work we stitch them by hand, one by one, on embroidered duvet cover plain white, bed sheet and pillow cases. Table linen is also available with this handmade trimming here. Pillowcases and duvet covers have drawstring closures.
It is possible to choose the color of the handmade trimmings.

“Bed linen, and table linen AYA. One of the first bedding models I imagined, this seems ages ago. I was fascinated by this needle work upon arrival in Marrakech. An ancestral know-how that remains popular since all traditional clothes are always decorated with twisted yarns, braided ribbons and small thread balls that have the function of button. Men work with yarns and ribbons and assemble clothes in their tiny workshops. I can spend hours watching them at work. Very quickly I imagine personal interpretations and transpose them onto our embroidered duvet cover plain white and other linens.”
