Traditionally moroccans use trimmings as ornaments for their djellabas and kaftans. The passementerie is made to measure and by hand by craftsmen. They work in their small workshops scattered around the old city. The trimmings require time, dexterity and know-how. This tradition of thread and needle still fascinates me today… More than ever i feel the need to support craftsmen, to give them work and help this know-how continue to exist.”
