The NIL white bed linen black trimmings is inspired from the traditional djellabah trimmings. It is a painstaking work that requires a lot of dexterity. The trimmings are made by hand with thread and needle.
I imagined this style of luxury white bed linen upon arrival in Marrakech. My work with artisans takes its start over 20 years ago. Since that time, I never stop creating timeless and quality home linen by selecting and learning traditional skills that I twist to create my own visual and aesthetic language. Day after day I continue to pay tribute to these women and men, artisans with golden fingers, without whom nothing would be possible.
The trimmings seem simple, but sometimes several months, or years, are necessary to develop a style. I never count my time with the sole aim of reaching the target I set for myself.
