“I imagined this style in 1997, when I arrived in Marrakech. It is inspired by the “Mendil”, the traditional fabric that the RIF women wear on their hips when working in the fields. Read more about our pompons here.
I am amazed that the pompon bath towels still sell. Since their launch, 20 years ago this bath linen has been sold worldwide. A few years ago we had a large amount of embroiderers in Morocco. Now we work on a smaller scale, the company is more adapted to my managing skills, i can take time… We have a “slow production” and it is necessary to look into all the details of our and tailor-made products. Artisans need to be meticulous and have a lot of dexterity. Quality control, ironing,… That is why we have our own workshop. There are many steps before a product is ready to leave and most of our items are white.
